About Me

I was born in Istanbul in 1973 and I am a physician specialized in dermatology. After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in English, I completed my specialization training at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Dermatology. In my specialization thesis, I examined the role of anti-gliadin antibodies that measure gluten sensitivity in psoriasis.
Throughout my education and career, I gained rich experience by working at prestigious institutions such as Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and Charité University Hospital in Berlin.
My clinical and laboratory studies have enabled me to specialize in many areas such as diagnosis and treatment of dermatological diseases, laser applications, dermatosurgery, electrocautery and cryotherapy. My areas of interest include psoriasis, Behçet’s disease, acne vulgaris, immunobullous diseases and urticaria.
In addition, I have gained extensive experience in this field by taking part in phase II and phase III studies in international clinical research. Giving importance to continuous professional development, I received training in dermatology and dermatopathology in Berlin in 2004 and in animal studies at Istanbul University in 2007. In addition, I have published numerous scientific publications, journal articles and book chapters on various dermatological subjects.
My command of foreign languages such as English, French, Italian and Spanish, facilitates international collaborations and sharing of information. My hobbies include opera, art, jewelry and clothing design, and scrabble. In addition, as a national athlete who has achieved national success in fitness and bodybuilding, healthy living, proper nutrition and anti-aging are among my special interests.
My clinical and academic experiences have allowed me to gain deep knowledge and versatile competencies in the field of dermatology. My aim is to use this knowledge and experience to benefit a wider audience.
